Check Point CloudGuard CSPM

Check Point CloudGuard brings the Check Point prevention-first security philosophy to cloud environments, with good multi-cloud coverage across AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI, and Alibaba. The compliance reporting is solid and the integration with Check Point's broader security portfolio is a genuine advantage for organisations already running Check Point firewalls and network security.

The limitation is market momentum. CloudGuard has not kept pace with Wiz, Orca, or Prisma Cloud in terms of innovation cadence or analyst recognition in the CNAPP space. Attack path analysis and devsecops integration are less mature than the market leaders. Gartner positions Check Point as a Challenger, reflecting this gap accurately.

The verdict: Check Point CloudGuard is right for existing Check Point customers wanting CSPM integrated with their network security stack. Organisations evaluating CSPM independently should shortlist Wiz, Orca, or Prisma Cloud ahead of CloudGuard.
